I just reviewed my notebook from the Component Blending class I took recently and feel so appreciative of the quality of the course materials. I wanted a chemistry class and was so pleased with my experience.

Component Blending takes place over a 3-day weekend and includes an in-depth study of the chemistry, therapeutic uses, and blending techniques for a wide selection of conifer (pine, spruce and fir) and helichrysum essential oil species.
Spend three days in the aroma of a pine forest! Learn to make your own cream, bar soap, resin incense and a cardamom salt butter scrub!
Blending is approached from a chemical component perspective, looking at evidence-based medicinal components, and choosing oils based on this approach. The chemical families are considered, with an emphasis on the individual components.

Prerequisites
A basic background in the chemistry of essential oils is helpful.
Required Materials
All in-class blending supplies, including essential oils, carriers and bottles are included in the tuition.
