Component Blending

The Component Blending class takes place over a 3-day weekend and includes an in-depth study of the chemistry, therapeutic uses, and blending techniques for a wide selection of conifer and helichrysum essential oil species. Blending is approached from a component perspective, looking at which components are most powerful within the oil, and choosing oils based on this approach. The chemical families are considered, as well as the individual components.

Workshop Overview

Using both the energetic and chemical family approach, students will explore the individual components and therapeutic properties of the following groups of oils:

  • Four species of Helichrysum.
  • 15 species of Pine, Fir and Spruce.

Included Materials

Blending supplies, a detailed manual, carrier oils and essential oils will be provided for use in class.

Prerequisites

A solid background in the chemistry of Essential Oils.
