Aromatic Blending

Do you love body butters? Aromatic Blending is an in-depth workshop that offers tools for developing your skill in the aromatic aspect of blending and the use of body butters. Study blending approaches using cocoa butter, shea butter, beeswax, palm kernel, kpangnan butter, and coconut oil. Learn to make your own cream, whipped shea, foam soap, salt scrubs and body butters!

Course Overview

Come spend three fun days smelling, blending, creating, comparing, and understanding a wide variety of aromas. We’ll explore the effect of carrier oils and butters on the blend's aroma, and find solutions to maintaining lovely scents with a variety of bases and carriers. You’ll learn to create medicinal blends while maintaining beautiful aromas. Students utilize a large selection of essential oils, butters, carrier oils, hydrosols and salts.

This 3-day class is appropriate for anyone new to essential oils, as well as the experienced aromatherapist wanting to develop their aromatic blending skills.

Students will create and take home a selection of products including:

  • Jojoba blends.
  • Body butters.
  • Natural perfumes.
  • Handmade cream.
  • Bath salts and foam soap.

Additionally, students receive:

  • The use of organic and wildcrafted essential oils during class.
  • The use of a wide variety of carrier oils and butters.
  • A custom manual.
  • An extensive list of resources for quality products.
  • Discounts on additional materials and kits and Aromatics International.

CEU’s: This program is approved for Massage Therapy in New York, Florida and by NCBTMB for 21 hours.

Prerequisites

This class is open to everyone.

Required Materials

All in-class blending supplies, including essential oils, carriers and bottles are included in the tuition.
