In addition to overviews and descriptions, this introductory course includes clear directions for using these alternative remedies, as well as guidelines for making herbal tinctures, herbally infused oils, and flower essences. Practical suggestions for alternatives to commercial over-the-counter products are discussed. Learn how to use a variety of simple, natural remedies for common ailments such as headaches, upset stomach, minor skin rashes, muscle and joint pain, insect bites, minor sunburn and more. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to create their own Alternative Medicine Chest!

About the Author

The Aromahead Alternative Medicine Program is written by Cindy Black and edited by Andrea Butje. Cindy Black is an Acupuncture Physician, Diplomate of Chinese Herbology, and Licensed Massage Therapist. She co-founded the Finger Lakes School of Massage in 1994 with Andrea Butje, where she taught Anatomy and Physiology, Sports Massage, and Oriental Medical Theory. In addition to teaching she maintains a private practice in Acupuncture, Massage and Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Prerequisites

Anyone may register for this class. No previous Aromatherapy training is required.
