Aromahead Institute’s exclusive 400-hour Scholar's Program is designed to meet the highest level of Aromatherapy Certification in the USA. The program provides an inspiring combination of courses leading to qualification to practice as a Clinical Aromatherapist. This program may be completed in-person, online or a combination of both.

Program includes:

• advanced training in aromatherapy chemistry
• related anatomy and physiology
• therapeutic properties and uses of over 100 essential oils
• medicinal blending 
• product development
• teacher training

Tuition: $3,355 to $4,900 depending on the following:

• Classes are taken in person, online or a combination of both

In-Person Scholar's Program

The program consists of two required courses and at least 40 hours of electives. The program can be completed within four months, or taken over a longer period of time. The dates for each class can be found on the schedule page.

Required Courses - 360 hours (cost is $3,450)

1. Aromatherapy Certification Program - 235 hours (including 76 hours of Anatomy and Physiology), Cost: $2,000
2. Advanced Graduate Program - 125 hours, Cost: $1,450
3. Electives- choose a minimum of 40 hours from the classes below

In Person Electives - 40 hours minimum

1. Component Blending 21 hours
   Using both the energetic and chemical family approach, students explore the individual components and therapeutic properties of four species of Helichrysum and 15 species of Pine, Fir and Spruce. Cost: $450
    
2. Aromatic Blending 21 hours
   Spend three days developing your aromatic blending skills.  This course focuses specifically on creating aromatically appealing medicinal blends and products.  A great way to fine tune your nose! Cost: $450
    
3. Teacher Training Program 35 hours
    This program offers students the opportunity to study dynamic and effective teaching methods for facilitating Aromatherapy classes and provides a detailed manual and teaching outline for presenting a 2-day Aromatherapy Workshop. Cost: $1000

Online Scholar's Program

The online program consists of two required courses and at least 40 hours of electives. The Scholar's Program is completed at your own pace. The program can be completed within six month to a year, or taken over a longer period of time.

Required Courses - 360 hours (cost $2900)

1. Aromatherapy Certification Program - 235 hours (including 76 hours of Anatomy and Physiology), Cost: $1,700
2. Advanced Graduate Program - 125 hours, Cost: $1,200
3. Electives- choose a minimum of 40 hours from the classes below

1. Body Butters and Lip Balms - 14 hours
   Learn to work with carrier oils and body butters to create a variety of therapeutic body care products. Andrea walks you through the process of blending shea butter, cocoa butter, kombo butter, kpangnan butter, coconut oil and more. Cost: $175
    
2. Building Web Presence - 14 hours
   Wondering how to build a successful business presence online? Building Web Presence gives you the foundation to grow your business through various online marketing tools. Learn how to market your services and products through fun social media venues. This beginner-friendly class starts with the very basics! Cost: $150
    
3. Introduction to Alternative Medicine- 10 hours
   Curious about the diverse world of Alternative Medicine?  Introduction to Alternative Medicine offers an overview of some of the top current practices of Alternative Medicine in the United States. The overview includes Chinese Medicine, Herbology, Aromatherapy, Massage Therapy, Homeopathy, Cell Salts and Flower Essences. Cost: $55
    
4. Viruses and the Immune System - 21 hours
   Understand the dynamics of the viral life cycle and the various players of the human immune system.  Learn simple and effective ways to support the Vital Energy as it returns to harmony. Learn the details of the immune system, the immune response, specific and non-specific immunity and how stress can influence these vital functions. Cost $250
    
5. Component Blending Online - 28 hours
   Perfect for those looking to deepen their understanding of chemistry as it relates to aromatherapy. This class focuses on oils that are similar (pine, spruce and fir) and teaches techniques to discover what makes each oil unique. An in-depth study of the chemistry, therapeutic uses, and blending techniques for 15 different Conifer oils. Cost $375
